Our People

Paul Stevens – Senior Partner - Solicitor

Having served his apprenticeship with a number of large London firms, Paul joined the practice in 1981 with a sizeable client following. His level of commercial experience and expertise has developed ever since; having been primarily responsible for the development of the practice generally and in particular has concentrated on advising clients on all aspects of company and commercial law.

His niche expertise is contract law and the negotiation and preparation of bespoke commercial contracts, including franchise agreements, joint venture Contracts and shareholder agreements as well as all the related aspects of commercial law. In addition he has developed a reputation for advising clients in all aspects of mergers, acquisitions and disposals of companies and he advises on various aspects of company law, including the preparation of employment contracts and service contracts both in this country and internationally.

In addition Paul has had considerable experience in giving advice to small/medium sized businesses on various aspects of partnership law and is retained by a number of clients to advise or personally handle and settle inter-industry commercial negotiations.

Paul is principally responsible for the handling of all commercial property transactions whether it is for the sale or acquisitions for commercial property or the granting of leases, whether for the whole or part and/or requisite licenses relating to the management of commercial property


Linda Paterson – Solicitor

Linda joined Wade Stevens & Co in November 2006. She qualified as a solicitor and moved to the Bromley area in the 1980s where for many years she worked in the fields of property law and conveyancing.

Since joining Wade Stevens & Co Linda has specialised in all aspects of private client work, including the preparation and execution of Wills and general estate planning matters together with the preparation and registration of Property and Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare Lasting Powers of Attorney. Linda represents the executors of Wills and administrators in cases of intestacy and handles the administration of estates including obtaining grants of Probate and Letters of Administration and dealing with the administration of estates through to their conclusion including contested matters.

Where clients are unable or find it difficult to visit the office, Linda is happy to arrange to see them either in their own home or in a nursing home or hospital if appropriate.


Sally O’Donoghue & Valerie Stevens – Conveyancers

The principal players in our residential Conveyancing Department are Sally O’Donoghue and Valerie Stevens who between them handle all aspects of residential conveyancing including the sale or purchase of both Freehold and Leasehold property.

We provide advice and guidance to our clients right from the very early stages of a property move including dealing with Banks, Building Societies and lending institutions generally with their often complicated and confusing lending policies and criteria. We also provide advice on tenancies or short hold occupations and occupation rights generally as well as Declarations of Trusts in respect of the same.

As a flourishing conveyancing department Sally and Valerie have been working closely together for a number of years building up a friendly but professional relationship with both existing and new clients. They have developed a lot of local professional contacts and are happy to pass on the benefit of their own advice, expertise and experience as well as the introduction of their professional contacts with a view to seeing that any property transaction is handled quickly, smoothly and efficiently.

Our aim is to take a lot of the anxiety and stress that often arises out of any conveyancing transaction and so ensure a smooth and early completion wherever possible, even when complications and difficulties have arisen.
